Titling

Opening Title Sequence

This video shows the process of making the title sequence. We have used the font Beautiful Mess which has a handwritten style which all flows together, showing how the characters stories are linked together whilst given it a warm tone.

To also demonstrate this idea of linking, the titles appear before the opening shot. It presents to the audience how the film is connection between these two main characters, without the use of the film's editing, their stories would not have intertwined at all (as the twist at the end shows; the character's cross paths only once before heading their separate ways).

We decided to place the actor's names in the opening two shots. Meg Webb plays the female protagonist so her name appears as she walks into the bedroom. Matt Holt plays our lead male and his name is introduced as he walks across the platform. We made it so that he stands next to his name, to make it clear to the audience that is who we are introducing. Emma's name appears at the end of the second shot. As she only appears near the end of the film, we wanted to introduce her before the action started so it didn't distract the viewer from the story.
