Poster Draft, Critque and Audience Feedback - Sam McLeish

Sam's Poster Draft
Critique
I feel that my poster conforms with the conventions of typical short film posters. For example, this poster doesn't show a tagline which is something only reserved for feature legnth films. Also, there is clear links to other social media platforms that allows an audience to engage further before they see the film. Finally, there is a clear main focus image that looks appropiate for a short film poster, mainly because the shallow depth of field focus onto the female and the clear autumnal motif in the colourscheme.

However, what I could do to improve is have a main focus image that conveys more of the storyline in the poster. In this design, there is no clear indication that the audience can use to understand the storyline more, except the title which is vague. If I did this, I feel that my poster would have conformed more with the traits of short film posters and would have been more successful overall.
